WAIVER: Please read carefully, check the box that you have read, and sign below that you understand. I recognize that participating in the Diamond City Mountain Relay could possibly be dangerous. I acknowledge that as a runner in the relay, it is my responsibility to ensure that I am healthy enough for exercise and appropriately trained for potentially rigorous running. I know that I will be traveling in remote areas away from medical services, and as such that I am responsible for minor first aid and for contacting and reaching medical care for a more major instance. Various risks may be present throughout the relay while running and/or driving including but not limited to: exertion/fatigue/soreness, weather (heat, cold, precipitation, wind, lightning, sun, dry air), altitude exposure, course conditions (potential for trips and falls, uphills, downhills, ruts, bumpy roads, rocks, gravel, snow, ice, running water, mud), interactions with vehicles (several stretches of paved road with heavier traffic, potential for logging or other large trucks, multiple vehicles per team associated with the relay), interactions with domestic and wild animals. While such areas are limited, I accept that my team and I should be particularly careful when crossing or running on paved roads, and we are responsible for our safety in all instances. After reading and considering all of this information, I (and anyone acting on my behalf) release Diamond City Mountain Relay, its directors, its employees, its volunteers, and its sponsors from any claim or liability related to relay participation.
